If you wear eye glasses, you know what it’s like to use a pair of glasses that are not exactly what you need. You’ve experience this as your vision has changed and you required a different prescription or you may have experienced the inconvenience of purchasing glasses that just didn’t work.

Dr. DiStefano takes special care to insure that each eyeglass prescription we fill is treated with care and attention to detail to minimize the probability of this inconvenience. A very small percentage of patients who receive prescriptions from our Eye Center ever require return visits due to eye glasses that do not properly correct their vision.

Our Optometrist always completes or checks your refraction to insure accurate results. His involvement also insures you have the experience of a professional who has performed refractions for almost 100,000 pairs of glasses.

All of our refraction measurements are taken using a subjective refraction as well as an objective measurement using a retinoscopy. This reduces the likelihood that an incorrect subjective measurement due to over or under correction in self-reporting will make it into the final prescription.
